Central District Health requires that a mask or face covering be worn in its facility to receive medical care or other services. CDH requiere que los pacientes y personas y que ingresen a nuestras instalciones usan cubierta facial para recibir atención médica u otros servicios. Más información en español

Exceptions include:

  • Children under the age of two (2)
  • Those with a medical or mental health condition or disability that prevents them from wearing a face covering
  • Those who are deaf and hard of hearing, or communicating with a person who is deaf and head of hearing
  • Persons receiving care involving the nose, face, or head for which temporary removal of the face covering is necessary

    If you do not have a face covering, one will be provided to you.

    Central District Health is providing a number of services over the phone and continues to meet the information and communication needs of our community.

    Environmental Health (Food/Septic/Land/Childcare)

    Environmental Health can serve you via email and phone. Call 208-327-7499 to speak with an EH staff member.

    • In response to COVID-19, class dates are being evaluated and are subject to cancelation.  Please call 208-327-7499 to make sure the class you registered for is not canceled.
    • Submit food and septic paperwork by email and pay by phone. Submit completed food and septic forms to ehapps@cdh.idaho.gov.


    WIC - Women, Infants and Children (WIC)

    WIC is operating from 8 am to 5 pm Monday - Friday. WIC services are being provided over the phone and through telehealth communication. Call 208-327-7488 to speak with WIC staff.

    • WIC is still open and is offering services on an essential basis. Clinic staff are offering phone and telehealth visits.
    • WIC can load benefits to your WIC card over the phone.
    • Current phone numbers are necessary for phone appointments during their scheduled times.
    • WIC Breastfeeding classes are being held virtually and over the phone. Call 208-327-7488 to schedule your breastfeeding appointment with a clinic staff member.


    Family & Clinic Services (FCS) - Reproductive Health and Immunizations

    Family & Clinic Services are being provided over the phone and via telehealth visits. Call 208-327-7400 to speak with FCS staff to answer any questions and determine if a service can be provided or if it can wait. 

    • Immunization needs that are schedule-dependent, such as a series, or school-entry vaccines can still be scheduled. Vaccines that are not schedule-dependent and can wait should be considered for postponement. If you are unsure, please call us at 208-327-7400.
    • Our clinic is open by appointment for non-respiratory health care needs at this time. We can see you for minor illness/injuries, STI symptoms and concerns, birth control or other primary care needs. CDH is not a testing site for COVID-19.


    Parent as Teachers (PAT)/Infant & Early Childhood Mental Health (IECMH)

    All in-home visits have been discontinued. Read below for ways CDH can still serve you via telecommunicaiton.

    • Until there is guidance to discontinue any in-person visits, PAT and IECMH participants can choose to come into CDH for their normal sessions as long as they are in good health at the time of the visit.
    • Most home visits (PAT & IECMH) will be offered virtually, via webinar (PAT) and telehealth (IECMH). PAT home visitors can drop off kits to participating families with activites for the parent/s and child/ren to do together.
    • Monthly PAT Group Connections will not be offered until guidance around gatherings changes.


    Oral Health

    Oral Health services have been temporarily impacted and are not being offered.

    • Oral Health First Teeth Matter Clinics are available by appointments only at this time. Please call 208-327-7400 to schedule an appointment with our clinician. 
    • Our partners at Friends of Children and Families (FOCAF) have also canceled our fluoride varnish clinics with their Early Head Start and Head Start participants.


    Healthy Living

    Fit and Fall Proof™ classes are on hiatus until further notice. Please call 208-327-8591 with any questions.

    • The District IV Citizen Review Panel had a virtual meeting on June 2nd, 2020.
    • This post satisfies the notice of meeting requirements in Idaho Code 74-204(1), Open Meeting Law.
    • The R4 Behavioral Health Board Meeting on June 11th, 2020 will be a virtual meeting.
