Get Your Tickets for the 12th Annual Culinary Walk-About
Tickets are now on sale for the 12th Annual Culinary Walk-About, a fundraiser for the Meals On Wheels program in Ada and Elmore counties. The popular event will be held from 6-9 p.m., Thursday, April 9, 2009 at the Boise Centre on the Grove.
The Culinary Walk-About allows guests to “walk about” and enjoy delectable specialties from some of the Treasure Valley’s finest restaurants. Some of this year’s participating restaurants include: Chef Lou’s at 8th Street, Chandler’s Steakhouse, Blue Moose Café, Goody’s, the Arid Club, Eli’s Italian Deli, Bardenay, Rachel K’s Bistro, Emilio’s at the Grove Hotel, the Gamekeeper, and Ono Hawaiian Cafe. The cuisine will range from appetizers and main dishes, to salads, desserts and coffee.
Music will be provided by the Boise Straight Ahead Jazz Band. There will also be some great silent and live auction items up for bid. Back by popular demand is ‘Sipping for Diamonds,” an opportunity for one lucky person to win a ½ carat diamond worth $3000! All proceeds will support the Meals On Wheels program that delivers hot, nutritious meals to some 600 homebound seniors in Ada and Elmore counties every day.
Tickets are $50 per person and are on sale now at the Meals On Wheels office at the Central District Health Department, 707 N Armstrong Place, Boise. Order tickets by phone at 327-7460. Hurry and get your tickets today as only 750 tickets are available.
