Cholesterol Screening and Cardiac Risk Assessment

Ada County Office (in Boise): The first Tuesday of every month; This is a walk-in clinic between 6:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. | 707 N. Armstrong Pl., Boise | 208-327-8626

Elmore Office (in Mountain Home): Clinics are held every three months. This is a walk-in clinic between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. | 520 E. 8th Street, Mountain Home | 208-327-8626

Clinics are scheduled for:

  • November 8, 2017
  • February 14, 2018
  • May 9, 2018
  • August 8, 2018
  • November 14, 2018

Everyone age 20 and older should have their cholesterol measured at least once every five years. The higher your LDL level and the more risk factors you have the greater your chances are of developing heart disease or having a heart attack.

Screening includes HDL/LDL levels, Cholesterol/HDL ratio, triglycerides, blood pressure check, and nutrition and exercise guidelines.

Before your screening

You must fast for 8 to12 hours and drink plenty of water to hydrate your veins. Recommend no alcohol for 48 hours before your visit.
